The Lumberjacks got a 51 save performance from goaltender John Scheuer, and an overtime goal from Mark Savage to defeat the Hermantown Hawks 3-2 at the Cloquet Area Recreation Center. Connor Hady opened the scoring for Hermantown, and was answered by a Jack McFarlane powerplay goal. Tony Wilcox gave the Jacks a 2-1 lead, which was then answered by the Hawks Cody Christopherson. Tyler Ampe stopped 23 of 26 Cloquet shots in the loss.

Tyler Ampe was the Hermantown goalie in this varsity game. Connor Lucas was the Hermantown goalie in the JV win over Cloquet.
