The Lumberjacks, shorthanded by illness, had a 2 goal lead vs Elk River, December 17, 2010, but couldn't hold it, giving up 3 unanswered goals to drop the Section 7AA game 3-2 at the CARC. The 'Jacks had a 5 on 3 powerplay in the last minute, and an extra attacker from pulling goaltender Alyssa Acheson, but couldn't light the lamp 6 on 3 to tie the game before the final buzzer.

The Lumberjacks lost to the Duluth East Greyhounds 4-3 at the CARC February 9, 2010. Duluth East got off to a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Kenny Mellin and Nate Repensky. The Lumberjacks answered in the second period on goals by Jack McFarlane and Adam Hanson. Dom Toninato scored twice in the third period, to give Duluth East a 4-2 lead. With 1:08 left in the third period, and goaltender John Scheuer pulled, the Lumberjacks put immense pressure on Duluth East goaltender Josh Jeanetta, and Cloquet's Mark Savage buried the puck to make the score 4-3. Duluth East tried to let Cloquet tie the game, icing the puck and allowing Scheuer to be pulled again, but the Jacks couldn't get the tying goal as time ran out. Scheuer finished with 29 saves on 33 shots while Jeanetta stopped 23 of 26 shots for the win.
