Below are photos from the 2010 Wood City Classic, the first day of the tournament with wins by the Esko boys over Blake 48-47 and the Cloquet girls defeated East Central, as Annabel Morrisroe scored her 1000th career point early in the first half. The Cloquet boys dropped their game to East Central in the nightcap of day one.

Cloquet Wood City Classic Basketball Tournament

Teams in the 2009 Cloquet Wood City Basketball Tournament included St. Paul Humboldt's boys AND girls teams, East Central girls, Ashland girls, Duluth Central Boys, Blake School boys, and of course both the Cloquet Lumberjack boys and girls teams. This page is pictures from the first day of action.

A few players stood out from the rest.. including The Blake School's Kebu Johnson, who is only a freshman but plays much bigger than that.

Also St. Paul Humboldt (Section 1A St. Paul city-league team) sisters Angelina (Junior) and Annessa (senior) Hicks, who've played in the tournament together before have picked up their games each time they come to the Wood City Tournament.

Tim Defoe starred for the Cloquet boys as they won and lost one game each, while Annabel Morrisroe did the same for the Cloquet girls

I only shot the first half, but the Cloquet boys basketball team lost to Grand Rapids in what was a rematch of the Section 7AAA finals last season

Kernz & Kompany High School All Star Game

The Duluth Area girls, and Area boys (with Cloquet) boys teams won their respective Kernz & Kompany high school all star basketball games April 1st, 2009 at Duluth Denfeld High School. Cloquet's Chad Calcaterra won the dunk competition in a 'Dunk-Off' against Cotton's Kenny Schofield

Section 7AAA Boys Basketball Final

Grand Rapids defeated Cloquet 65-51 by pulling away at the end of the game.. a couple shots:
