On Sunday, before the Labor Day weekend fireworks, I took my camera along on an hour walk along the St. Louis River. I created a 10 photo gallery, see the sample below!

I've got new photos up from yesterday, August 2nd.
I was out fishing and since the fish weren't biting, I took pictures of the sunset.. in segments of about a half hour.
Check Them Out!
On the CLOUDS page of my website..I added some new pictures from a recent storm. I've never seen clouds come in like that.

The following is more or less a random cloud picture I took yesterday in between some light rain showers.

Headed to Duluth to watch the Canadian Snowbirds give a 35 minute airshow, as advertisement for the Duluth Air Show in July. Without a good telephoto lens, I ended up with a few good pictures but someday I'll go the expensive route and get a really good camera capable of extraordinary pictures. For now my 12 Megapixel Kodak Easyshare is perfect for what I usually use it for.
The Canadian Snowbirds aren't nearly as loud as I expected, and incredible maneuverable having only seen the larger jets at the Air Show the one year I attended.

As always, CLICK on the photos to view them in larger size.
When in Duluth, with a camera, a person tends to take pictures of the Aerial Lift Bridge, even though I've taken enough of them in the past, here's 2 more:

One thing I'd never seen before, is a mini 'Statue of Liberty' which is hidden in a courtyard next to the DECC Auditorium. According to the plaque, it was placed there in 1976, the American Bi-Centennial.

On the way home I stopped at the river to fish for a bit....

I caught that small St. Louis River Northern Pike, and a nice Smallmouth Bass, but Bass season doesn't start for a week or two, so they have to be released immediately so no photos of that one.
And finally... the end up the day, the sunset....

While it's only March 11th, and spring doesn't start until March 21st, I don't care, it's WARM and the snow is melting fast!!

Photo taken at 1:30 pm, and its' STILL 49 degrees 3 hours later!
I'm not a big religious person but I think if there is a God, he must wear NIKE's:

Maybe the Cloud Man (third picture) wears NIKE too.
This is just a short post with 2 pictures of some clouds the other night before dark. This looked like it was going to open up and pour on us but it really didn't rain at all.

About 3 am we got a lot of lightning and thunder but still it really didn't do much in the way of rain.
I was going to go fishing today but decided I'd just look around by the river as some storm clouds come in instead.

Trying out a few settings on Microsoft Digital Image Editor 2006 also so I want to see how the pictures look online.
Two additions.. no pictures though.. Duluth got some really large HAIL.. like golf and tennis ball size.. the clouds I took pictures of went AROUND us and hit north of Duluth and into Canal Park.. we got lucky..
The other addition is.. I ended up goin fishing tonight cause the weather here changed.. the wind changed to a lot less gusting so I went and caught 1 Northern Pike and 1 Smallmouth Bass.
