June 5th Fishing Pictures

I ended up sorta 'hiking' to a pool of the river, where this time of year you can catch a variety of fish.. today I caught 1 Northern, 2 Smallmouth Bass, and 1 Crappie. See them below

The last photo, of the sky.. I actually took before catching the 4 fish. I don't really know why but I like pictures of the clouds and stuff like that.

What river did you get that northern from?

This is a great time of year for fishing. I also like fishing for northerns in the fall when they swim up into shallow rivers and become eating machines. Cheap spoons with weedless trebles are all you need.

Most of my fishing is right from the St. Louis River in Cloquet... but I drive all over shore fishing also.

A lot of times I throw the 'silver minnow' (silver, gold, or red/white combo) as mentioned in a previous entry, then when they start striking that short I throw a shad rap and usually hook up in 3 casts.
